HCMC Hotels Near Parade Route Hit 100% Occupancy Ahead of April 30th

Ho Chi Minh City - Many hotels in the areas hosting the main activities for the 50th anniversary of national reunification have reached 100% occupancy since a month ago.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, stated that hotels ranging from one to five stars in the city center, including districts 1, 4, and the Ben Nha Rong area – the focal point for art performances, parades, light festivals, and culinary events – currently have an occupancy rate of 95% to 100%. Many 4-5 star hotels have reported being fully booked from April 27th to May 1st.

A representative of a hotel located on Nguyen Hue walking street said that their room occupancy for the holiday has been at 100% for a month. Meanwhile, an accommodation facility in Phu Nhuan district has also been fully booked from April 15th to May 20th. Rooms were mostly booked out from mid-March, largely by guests using online platforms.

The city's Department of Tourism advises tourists to consider staying in areas adjacent to the center such as districts 3, 5, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, and Tan Binh, which offer a variety of hotels across different segments with good service quality and reasonable prices. From these areas, tourists can easily access the city center where the festive activities take place via public transportation such as buses, electric buses, or green transportation options like public bicycles, helping to save costs and reduce traffic congestion.
To ensure a convenient and complete holiday plan for families, the Department of Tourism recommends that residents and tourists proactively book rooms early through reputable online platforms or contact hotels directly to secure accommodation that suits their needs and budget. During this holiday, many travel companies are introducing a series of cultural and historical tours, ranging from short trips within the city to longer journeys connecting with neighboring provinces. Prior to this, high-altitude fireworks displays will be held at 9:30 PM on April 19th and 26th at the Saigon Riverbank Park (Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc City), along with rehearsals and final reviews of the military parade, promising to attract many tourists to visit and admire.
