For e-visas, with an ordinary passport valid for less than 6 months, the e-visa can be approved normally by Immigration but some airlines rejected customers who have a passport less than 6 months valid to get on board.
💡 Urgent Solution (Visa Approval Letter):
In case you cannot renew your passport immediately and you need a visa urgently for your trip, we can still process your visa approval letter if your passport is valid for less than 6 months (at least 2 months) from the date you arrive in Vietnam.
- ✔ With an Approval Letter, you will need to pay a stamping fee at the Vietnam international airport to do the visa on arrival procedure:
• Single entry: $25 USD • Multiple entry: $50 USD - ➔ However, to avoid any possible problems, you should make a new passport and contact the airline before flying to Vietnam.
⚠️ Note:
- • With a Visa Approval Letter, you can only use this visa to enter Vietnam through a Vietnam International Airport.
- ✕ This type of visa is not valid if you enter via Landport or Seaport.
- ➔ If you want to enter via Landport or Seaport, you will have to renew your passport to apply for an e-visa.
