On the morning of October 23, the cruise ship Coral Princess (Bermuda nationality) docked at Cam Ranh International Port (Khanh Hoa) on a cruise taking tourists along the coast of Vietnam. On this trip, the Coral Princess brought about 2,300 passengers to Khanh Hoa. Leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh Company Limited went to the wharf to welcome the ship, presented gifts to the crew, and presented flowers to welcome tourists.
After arriving at Cam Ranh International Port, the tourists were taken by Tan Hong Tourism Company - Du tham Viet to visit Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh with tours such as: Visiting relics - famous landscapes of Nha Trang City, visiting Nha Trang city center by cyclo, countryside tour, countryside bike tour, boat tour on Cai River... The ship will leave Cam Ranh International Port in the afternoon of the same day to continue to Hong Kong (China).
According to the Department of Tourism, from the beginning of 2024 to now, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 27 international cruise ships with more than 55,500 passengers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism said, "We hope that cruise lines will continue to bring cruise ships to Cam Ranh International Port for sightseeing in Nha Trang as planned. In the long term, the tourism industry will coordinate with the People's Committee of Cam Lam District and Cam Ranh City to research and develop tourism products to serve cruise ship tourists to Cam Ranh International Port". Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh - Chairman of the Board of Members of Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh Company Limited said that the Company has coordinated with Nha Trang Maritime Port Authority to create favorable conditions for welcoming the Coral Princess ship such as reducing towing fees, arranging 12 45-seat vehicles to transport free passengers (those not on tours) from the port to KN Cam Ranh Tourist Area... The Company will work with shipping lines to welcome more cruise ships to Cam Ranh International Port, contributing to diversifying the tourist ship reception points in Khanh Hoa.
Cam Ranh International Port has a total length of 2,147m including 2 wharves that can accommodate passenger ships up to 226,000GT. The port is 5 nautical miles from the international shipping route; the anchorage area in front of the port with an area of 303ha is located in the wind-sheltered Binh Ba lagoon, ensuring year-round maritime activities. In the period of 2016 - 2017, Cam Ranh International Port welcomed many large ships such as Legend of The Seas, SuperStar Vigor, Mariner of The Seas, Genting Dream, World Dream.
