Where is Ghenh Bang?

Ghenh Bang is located approximately 20 km west of Da Nang city center, within Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district. Although not as famous as Ba Na Hills or Marble Mountains, this is precisely why Ghenh Bang retains a rare pristine and peaceful beauty amidst a bustling tourist city like Da Nang.
From the center of Da Nang, you can drive a motorbike or taxi in the direction of Linh Ung Pagoda - Son Tra peninsula. When you get close to the Bai But area, look for a small sign indicating the way down to Ghenh Bang (or ask local people for directions).
After that, you will need to walk about 1 km along a jungle trail with slightly rough rocky slopes, but you will be rewarded with the cool green scenery of the forest and the whispering sound of the waves. Don't forget to bring sneakers, drinking water, and be in good health for a safer and more complete trip.

What to do in Ghenh Bang, Da Nang?
  • Taking Insta-worthy photos
This place possesses beautiful scenery with towering cliffs, lush green forests embracing nature, along with a long stretch of smooth golden sand leading down to uniquely shaped rocks scattered before the sea waves.
The sea at Ghenh Bang has a clear blue color, as transparent as a mirror, with each wave crashing against the rocky shore creating white foam. Just point your camera, and you'll instantly have thousands of beautiful photos as if they were taken from a movie scene.
  • Snorkeling to see coral
One of the most interesting things when exploring Ghenh Bang is snorkeling to see coral. With crystal-clear water, you only need to swim a short distance to clearly see colorful coral reefs and small schools of fish swimming around. If you have your own snorkeling gear or rent some near the parking area, you will experience the feeling of being in a remote island sea without leaving the mainland.
Ghenh Bang is one of the few snorkeling spots near the city center that still retains its pristine beauty, very suitable for those who want to explore the ocean but don't have much travel time.
  • Camping
Because it still retains its pristine beauty and has not been developed for tourism, Ghenh Bang is a great place for picnics or short day camping trips when traveling to Da Nang. You can bring snacks, a small tent, and enjoy a full day amidst the nature of the sea and forest. However, please remember not to litter and clean up after leaving to keep this place clean and intact as it was originally.
