Con Dao reduces service prices by up to 30% to attract visitors at the end of the year

Hotels in Con Dao offer 10-30% discounts for guests booking rooms, travel and sightseeing deals, to attract more visitors to the island during the low season.

The head of the Con Dao National Tourist Area Management Board said that in order to extend the length of stay, increase room capacity and revenue during the low tourist season, the district has announced preferential packages for room rates, train tickets and event and festival schedules from now until early 2025.
"Build low-season tourism packages and diversify products to stimulate local tourism," said the Head of the Management Board.
 
Many hotels on the island are offering discounts of 10 to 30% on all room types. In addition, some accommodations are also offering vouchers for car booking services and accompanying tour guides. Regarding transportation, the high-speed ferry company on the Tran De - Con Dao route is also offering a discount of 45,000 VND on tickets, expected to last until the end of 2024.

Accommodation establishments in Con Dao also apply QR code scanning to reduce prices by 5-10% for guests who are relatives and friends of loyal customers, in order to attract potential customers.

From October to March every year is the monsoon season and also the low tourist season in Con Dao. This time of year has a lot of rain, big waves so not many visitors come. The best time to visit Con Dao is from March to September when the sea is calm, the sky is clear, sea turtles breed and the weather is favorable for participating in activities.

Luu Quoc Minh, 27, living in Ho Chi Minh City, said he stayed two more days because he saw many hotels with good prices at the moment. He and his family went to Con Dao on November 15, choosing to take a speedboat at Tran De, Soc Trang, instead of a plane to save money.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam announced at the end of September that an airline is expected to receive two Embraer E190 aircraft to operate the Hanoi - Con Dao route in the near future, creating conditions to attract visitors from the North to return.

Since April, Bamboo Airways has stopped its only direct flight from Hanoi, causing the number of passengers from the north to drop sharply, although actual demand remains high. In addition to relaxation and exploration, spiritual tourists - the majority of demand for tours from Hanoi.

Con Dao, located in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, is a famous destination associated with "hell on earth" prisons. In recent years, the island has become known for its pristine beaches and fine white sand, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. This place is also known as the "resort paradise" of Vietnam.

In the first 10 months of the year, the number of visitors to Con Dao reached nearly 570,000, equivalent to last year, including about 21,700 international visitors with revenue of more than 2,100 billion VND.

Representatives of the Con Dao National Tourism Management Board hope that preferential solutions and discounts will contribute to increasing local tourism revenue at the end of the year.
