Parade practice, marching for 50 years of Southern liberation

The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day will feature a military parade and march.

According to the plan today (March 4), at the National Military Training Center 4 - TB4 (Dong Tam commune, My Duc district, Hanoi city), there will be joint training activities for forces participating in the parade and marching in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The parade and marching activities in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day received the attention and expectations of many people.

At the February 2025 briefing of the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - assessed that in February 2025, units actively deployed preparations for the parade and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Presenting many work orientations for March 2025 at the recent General Staff Conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), Deputy Minister of National Defense - requested the General Staff to continue directing the forces participating in the parade and march in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification to ensure quality, safety and discipline.

Previously, the Minister of National Defense issued Directive No. 91/CT-BQP dated December 10, 2024 on organizing military and militia forces to participate in the parade in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

To organize and effectively carry out the task of holding a parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army requested agencies and units to continue to strictly implement Directive No. 91/CT-BQP dated December 10, 2024 of the Minister of National Defense, ensuring unity, synchronization, and achieving high results.

The Chief of the General Staff requested the Military Training Department - School to develop a plan for joint training, preliminary review, general rehearsal of the parade, and organize coordination with agencies and units to implement. Direct units to organize training according to the program, ensuring strictness and consistency; taking basic training as the main thing, as the basis for joint training in the block to achieve the set goals and requirements.

Closely coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City in joint training of ceremonial and mass parade blocks. Organize well joint training of armed forces in April 2025, including 2-3 times at the venue of the celebration.

At the same time, closely coordinate with the Police and Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in traffic adjustment, lane division, avoiding congestion and ensuring absolute safety in force mobilization.
