Vietnam Visa Requirements

Most international travelers to Vietnam for travel or business purposes may need to apply for a Vietnam visa, except for those included in this list of Vietnam visa exemption. If you apply for a special visa type (other than the tourist visa), additional documents may be required.

✈️ For Vietnam Visa on Arrival:

To obtain the Vietnam visa on arrival at Vietnam's airport, you will need to prepare the following:

• 🔹 Passport: Valid for at least 2 months following your arrival date to Vietnam and have at least 2 blank pages for immigration stamps.
• 🔹 Vietnam Visa Approval Letter: Required to obtain the visa on arrival at the Vietnam international airport.
• 🔹 Visa On Arrival Form: You can download it here.
• 🔹 Stamping fee: Prepare in cash to pay directly to Immigration at the airport (25USD for single entry, 50USD for multiple entries).
• 🔹 Passport Photos: Bring 2 portrait photos (size 4x6 cm). You will need physical portrait photo to stick on Visa On Arrival Form to do paperwork and get visa stamped at Vietnam airport once you arrives.

💻 For Vietnam E-visa:

• 🔹 Passport: Valid for at least 6 months. Must have a clear, high-quality scan/photo of the biographical page (temporary/emergency passports may not be accepted).
• 🔹 Portrait photo: A recent passport-style photo in JPG or JPEG format (ideally under 2MB). Use a light background, no glasses, looking straight. Do not cut the picture from your passport.
• 🔹 Application Form: Submit online at govietnamvisa.com/step_1. Ensure details like arrival date, entry port, and personal information are accurate.

⚠️ Important Notes:

• Travelers transiting through Vietnam should check with their airlines regarding visa requirements.
• Travelers visiting Phu Quoc Island directly ( either by boat or airplane from a country other than Vietnam, staying less than 30 days) are exempt from visa requirements.
• In case you are granted visa-free access to Vietnam, you just need a passport with at least 6 months of validity following your date of entry into Vietnam
• The E-Visa is valid for citizens of all countries traveling by any mode of transportation.
