European visitors searching for Vietnam increased sharply during the summer, most notably in Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam ranks third in the list of Asian destinations that attract the most European tourists, based on accommodation searches. This is information announced by the digital travel platform Agoda on May 23.
 
Specifically, according to search data from Agoda in April 2024, Malaysia recorded an 89% increase in search volume. Japan ranked second with a growth rate of 71% compared to the previous year. Vietnam ranked third, recording a 66% increase in searches from European visitors.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, country director of Agoda Vietnam, said the increase in searches for Vietnamese tourism in 2024 compared to the previous year demonstrates Vietnam's growing attraction to European visitors. In particular, more and more European tourists are choosing Vietnam as their summer vacation destination.

Some countries in Europe with the highest number of searches for Vietnam tourism in April include France, Germany, England, the Netherlands and Spain.

Meanwhile, the three destinations in Vietnam most sought after by European tourists are Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An and Nha Trang, offering the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure and culture.

These three destinations are also ideal choices for tourists who want to make the most of their long summer vacation in Vietnam.
In addition, with the European summer approaching, Asian tourist destinations , including Vietnam, are not only among the most popular destinations outside of Europe but also witness strong growth. Agoda recorded a 52% increase in accommodation searches by European tourists in April for their Asia travel itinerary this summer.
