Remove additional procedures for Covid-19 for foreigners entering Vietnam from January 18, 2022:

Invalidate additional Covid-19 procedures for foreigners entering Vietnam from January 18, 2022
In the past time, it has been difficult for foreigners (including foreigners, Vietnamese residing abroad with their relatives) to enter Vietnam due to additional Covid-19 procedures such as personnel inspection, visa reissuance/visa exemption certificate, approval of the entry policy of the local government of Vietnam.

The Government of Vietnam has agreed to abolish the Covid-19 supplementary procedures for foreigners entering Vietnam in accordance with Official Letter No. 450/VPCP-QHQT dated January 18, 2022 of the Office of the Government of Vietnam, specifically:

1. Foreigners invited or guaranteed by agencies, organizations and individuals in accordance with the Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam; particularly for foreigners entering tourism, in the immediate future, continue to comply with the Program to welcome international tourists.

2. For foreigners, overseas Vietnamese and their relatives who bring valid entry documents (permanent residence card, temporary residence card, visa, visa exemption certificate) are allowed to enter Vietnam According to the provisions of the Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam and the Government's Decree No. 82/2015/ND-CP dated September 24, 2015, without having to re-do procedures for personnel inspection, visa issuance/visa exemption certificate, no need to apply for approval letter.

3. For foreigners who do not have visas: create conditions for foreigners to apply for visas (can be through government websites, travel agents, embassies in the host country, ...)
